"I started working with J in 2009 and have worked up from Technician to Systems Engineer. Over the years we have built a great team, bonded with clients, and co-workers alike. Our company culture puts you, the person first. We lift each other up. We celebrate individual victories, be it the first time you rebuilt a user profile successfully or work 48 hours straight after a windows update breaks a video driver. We are encouraged to take time off, because it's important to your mental well-being, to unplug for a bit, and come back fresh. What we do is not easy, it's not for everyone, and we hold ourselves to a higher standard. I appreciate that in each of my co-workers; without them I wouldn't be in the position I am today. I joined the team after having worked as a student assistant in my university's IT department. Going from a monolithic environment where everyone uses the same software and accounts, then jumping into the deep end with dozens of clients of different types, each with their own quirks, line-of-business software and personalities, was a major challenge. But the support and encouragement from all levels of our team made it possible for me to keep a level head while I learned the ropes. Now this is my bread and butter! Working for HelpDesk.tech has been one of the highlights of my career. You will be exposed to hundreds of different scenarios and environments a month and learn more than you could ever imagine. It will be daunting at times. I still have days were I feel overwhelmed at times. But, you will have the support of some of the most knowledgeable senior engineers I have worked with in my 18 years in IT. Then there is J. who is by and far one of the kindest & funniest leaders I have ever had the pleasure to work under.
